Vega trader vs TraderSync options journal
TraderSync is a broker-sync journal with replay, spread grouping, and an AI review. Vega trader is the options position itself: the legs you log, the live P/L, the Greeks, and a price alert when the underlying crosses a level.
Plan names and prices were taken from each product’s public pages in October 2026. Confirm them before you pay. TraderSync

Import against a structure you type
TraderSync sells the import. The site describes sync from a large set of brokers, automatic P/L, and reports you can filter by strike, expiration, and spread type. The pricing page lists Pro at $29.95 a month, Premium at $49.95, and Elite at $79.95, with a cheaper annual bill and a 7-day trial. Higher plans add a finer replay and an options chain. The plan comparison also lists automatic options spread recognition. Which tier includes that recognition is worth confirming on the pricing page, because the label and the plan cards move. There is no lasting free plan in that table.
Vega trader has no broker sync. The structure is what you enter: a long call, a credit spread, an iron condor, or a custom set of legs. When you roll, the new leg joins the same trade, so the position you are managing and the history of the adjustment stay together. The option chain used to add or close a leg is on that trade.
Replay against a live position
TraderSync replay is for the session you already traded: price, and on higher plans a finer tape. That is a review of the execution. The options journal then reports how those imported trades performed.
Vega trader is for the position that is still open. Current P/L and the Greeks follow the quote, delayed on Free and real-time on Essential. A price alert fires when the underlying crosses the level you set. The alert does not send an order. Vega AI can create that alert from a conversation about the journal.
Which subscription matches the habit
Choose TraderSync when the fills should arrive on their own and the review is a replay plus a report across stocks, futures, and options. Read the Elite line if spread detection or the options chain is the feature you came for.
Choose Vega trader when you will enter the legs and you want the open structure, the expiration calendar, and an assistant on a free plan. The 14-day Essential trial adds real-time quotes, strategy and account groups, and price alerts, and it does not ask for a card.
- TraderSync, when broker sync and replay are why you keep a journal.
- Vega trader, when the open option legs, the Greeks, and an expiration alert are why you keep one.
Questions people ask
Is Vega trader a TraderSync alternative?
For a hand-logged US options journal, yes. TraderSync is the alternative when the requirement is broker sync, replay, and reports across more than options. Vega trader shows the Greeks and the payoff of the position you entered.
Does TraderSync group option spreads automatically?
TraderSync describes automatic spread recognition and options import. The plan that includes recognition should be read off the current pricing page. In Vega trader the grouping is the trade you create: the legs and later rolls stay on that record.
Is there a free version of either journal?
Vega trader has a free plan with the trade manager, expiration calendar, dashboard analytics, and Vega AI. TraderSync’s public pricing lists Pro, Premium, and Elite, plus a 7-day trial. Pro is $29.95 a month.
