Track results by trading account

An account in Vega trader is a book of trades, named for a broker or a portfolio. It is not a brokerage account, and Vega trader does not hold the cash.

Why split the journal

A margin account and a cash account do not deserve one blended win rate. Assign each trade to an account such as the broker name or “Paper trading”. That account then has its own total profit, trade count, winners, losers, averages, extremes, win rate, expectancy, trade duration, and max drawdown.

The equity curve and the monthly bars use the same periods as the rest of the analytics: 7 days through all history. You can archive an account you no longer trade without deleting the trades.

What other people can see

An account can stay private. If you make it public, other people can open it in the catalog. A separate switch controls whether those people see position size. When size is hidden, they still see the structure and the statistics, not the contract count.

Accounts are part of Essential, together with strategies, real-time quotes, and price alerts. The Free plan keeps a single journal and the dashboard across every closed trade.
