Real-time options and stock quotes
Live P/L and Greeks are only as current as the quotes behind them. Vega trader takes those quotes from a market-data provider. It is not an exchange and it is not your broker.
What a quote includes
Option and stock quotes used on a trade include bid, ask, and midpoint, plus implied volatility for the options. The option chain on a trade is grouped by expiration so you can add or close a leg without leaving the position. The payoff chart and the Greeks table both read that data.
Delayed and real-time
Real-time market data is part of Essential. On the Free plan, market data shown on a trade is delayed, and the page says so. The public calculator always uses delayed quotes, including for people who are not signed in.
Price alerts and the live Greeks on a position depend on this feed. If you need the number to match the market you are trading, Essential is the plan that carries real-time quotes. The 14-day trial does not require a credit card.
