Track results by option strategy

A strategy in Vega trader is a label you put on trades so their results add up. It is not an order, and it is not the same thing as the public guides to long calls or iron condors.

One book per way of trading

Create a strategy such as “Iron condors” or “Earnings plays” and assign trades to it. The strategy page then shows that subset: total profit, trade count, winners, losers, average profit, average loss, max profit, max loss, win rate, expectancy, trade duration, and max drawdown.

The equity curve and the month-by-month chart follow the same period switch as the dashboard. You can see whether the last 30 days still look like the all-time book, or whether one month is carrying the result.

Separate from the strategy guides

The strategy guides explain how a long call, a credit spread, or a condor pays off. Strategy tracking answers a different question: among the trades you labeled this way, what did you actually make? A guide can be right about the structure and your book can still be a losing sample.

Strategies are part of Essential. You can mark a strategy public if you want it in the catalog. The Free plan still includes the journal and the dashboard across all closed trades, without the per-strategy split.
