Live options profit and loss
Current P/L is the number you are missing when a position lives in a spreadsheet. On each open trade, Vega trader shows where the position stands and where it breaks even.
Current P/L on the trade
The trade page shows current profit and loss for the legs you logged. The figure follows the underlying price from market data, so you do not retype quotes into a cell. Real-time quotes are part of Essential. On the Free plan, market data on a trade is delayed.
Break-even points
The payoff chart plots profit and loss against the underlying price and marks the break-even points for the current legs. A single long option has one break-even. A condor or a strangle has two. After you add or remove a leg, the marks move with the new structure.
That chart is the same idea as the public calculator, attached to a trade you are actually managing. You can still sketch a different structure in the calculator before you change the live position.
Why it replaces the sheet
A spreadsheet profit formula breaks when a roll adds a leg or the multiplier is wrong. The journal already knows the legs, the prices you entered, and the latest underlying price. Current P/L and the break-even marks come from that record.
